Mr. Karon is a Graduate of Philadelphia University with a B.Sc. degree in textile marketing and management. His leadership and motivational skills have been the main driving force for the Group’s success to date. A member of the Group’s founding family, Mr. Karon has over 30 years of experience in product development and marketing. His creative ability has resulted in the development of many successful and patented products which are sold both in North America and Internationally.
Mr. Price is a Chartered Accountant with over thirty five years of experience covering a variety of industries and businesses. He has been involved in most elements of the Group’s strategic planning and has been responsible for financial oversight since the Group’s inception.
Mr. Beevis is an Honours B.A. graduate from York University. With his leadership & innovation, he oversee's our global team's operations & business activities. Mr. Beevis is responsible for developing high quality business strategies, ensuring their alignment with the company's short and long term objectives. He ensures they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission of IFTNA.
CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Dr. Cochran currently serves as Executive Director at Johns Hopkins Healthcare Solutions, an operating division of Johns Hopkins Medicine/HealthCare. His professional experience spans the spectrum of the global health care value chain, including drug discovery, development, research and management, and venture capital initiatives. Dr. Cochran has held leadership positions in organizations such as Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute, MDS Capital Corp. and NeuroVentures. Dr. Cochran holds a doctoral degree in microbiology and immunology from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario; a master’s degree in microbiology from the University of Guelph, Ontario, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto.
Mr. Greenspan was Chief Financial Officer of The Medipattern Corporation, an Exchange listed company, from September 2002 until February 2010. Prior to that, he spent 18 years at Scotiabank in various capacities which included Chief Operating Officer of Scotiabank’s e-commerce subsidiary, CAO of Scotia Capital and Head of Integrated Support Services. Prior to joining Scotiabank, he spent 8 years at KPMG where he specialized in business valuations mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Greenspan is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator.
Mr. Groome is currently the President and CEO of Microbix Biosystems Inc., a TSX listed company (symbol MBX on TSX). Before joining Microbix, he was CEO of Avivagen Inc. (symbol VIV on TSXV) and prior thereto was EVP of Bioniche Life Sciences Inc. (also TSX-listed). Before his operational roles, he headed the healthcare activities of two national investment dealers. Mr. Groome has more than 25 years of experience as a leader, executive, equity analyst, investment banker, and corporate advisor. He has also been a member of the Life Sciences Advisory Group of Global Affairs Canada and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University.
